I can not get EQ1 to start up due to a missing direct x 9.0c file. I checked dxdiag in Vista and found that Vista is running directX 10.0. Any one have any work arounds for this issue

If anyone is interested, I found the work around for the dx90c problem on the eq1 message boards. You have to go to www.microsoft.com/directx and download and install the APRIL full install of direct x. After I did that EQ1 boots and runs fine except that I still have no sound....:-(

I'm having an odd issue with EQ1. My text in game is ultra small, unreadable. It's not just in messageing windows either, it's all text. I have an Nvidia 7900GT video card and I've used the built in drivers and the beta drivers from Nvidia. I've also tried different variations on the compatability tab in the programs properties and still have the issue. Anybody know what could be the cause? Works perfect on Windows XP of course. Also had the same issue on my other PC that has an Nvidia 6800GT.
